I think that's the thing - there's no respite or get it over in one go; it just goes on and on. I'm with you guys, I can cope with most weather except grey, drizzly conditions - it's so damn depressing.

Agreed. Last week (I think) we had about four days of very English winter dank grey low clouds and shitty rain, not 'proper' rain. It was bloody depressing and I love rain normally.

A small yippee is in order.
We had tickets to Hampton Court Flower Show AND it did not rain at all today in SW London. Still we did lug our waterproof jackets with us as heavy rain was predicted!

It was a glorious day today in Dorset, and I sat out for an hour in late afternoon and soaked up the sunshine

Same with our huge rabbits. We put them out "to grass" a couple of weeks ago to intensively farm them in the hope of keeping the lawn under control but to no avail - they are failing miserably. Problem is that we just haven't had a change to cut the damn thing either Looking out of my window and it is absolutely peeing it down - so depressing.
