will this rain never stop

It's not been getting me down for one simple reason. I walk to work most days from Camden Town through Regents Park then down to embankment and along the South bank of the Thames to tower bridge and back up to the City. For the majority of the morning that I have done this the weather has actually been quite good and on only a few occasions have I been soaked. I feel like I have had quite a nice summer so far. Obviously this morning has been a soaking so not a great deal of fun.

Anyone subscribe to the theory that whatever whether hits the East Coast US ends up in Britain 3 weeks later? I know a couple of farmers who subscribe to that.

I just remind myself about the rain we used to get in Brisbane, this is nothing
At least we dont get 4 inches flowing through our garage when it rains. To be honest the rain hasnt affected us too much at all, we are in such a beautiful area the weather really isnt that important.
I just wish those people who are so unhappy with the UK weather would just hurry up and move to Australia and stop whinging

The suggestion is that La Nino is coming back, with rainfall decreasing from as early as next month and next spring/summer being hot and dry.

If that's true you'll be looking back on this month with fond memories.

It's a similar story between Perth and the east coast - sure, cold fronts move from west to east but, as often as not, there'll be a big fat high pressure system preventing them from having much of an impact here. That's why they get wetter winters over there. Summers a different story with a much less pronounced West to East flow.

Never happy.
