Thumbs up Re: Who's going to win The Ashes?

England all out for 425.

Will be interesting to see if the pitch starts to move now.

It was LBW regardless that the umpire gave him out caught. England are in with a chance, hope the rain holds off.

Unhappy Re: Who's going to win The Ashes?

An outrageously poor start by Australia. Can't even see us matching 425 at this rate!

Ponting was clearly out lbw, no contention there.

Loved the stunned look on Ponting's face when he gave the umpire the stare. "Out? Me?"

This is one of the reasons why I had such respect for McGrath: he was an absolute icon of sportsmanship. Did he ever contest an "out"?

Oh come on, it wasn't always that simple. The point is that he didn't mess about, like Ponting does.

Ahhhhhhhhhhh pure bliss.. 136 - 6

Life doesnt get better than this. Caravan door open, gin and tonic in hand, boats sailing by, and the Aussies getting a pasting

Will the Aussies save the follow on?!

Cool Re: Who's going to win The Ashes?

8 for 156; there's no way we can pull out of this. Top class bowling against mediocre batting.

Looks like the Poms will win at Lords for the first time in 75 years! That's got to feel good.

Let's not count our chickens. The position looks good for England, but more bad weather is forecast for Saturday and Sunday so if Australia can bat time in their second innings they have a good chance of a draw. I think England will be forced to make them follow on because of the weather too.

Worth remembering that following on and winning is not impossible either.

Why is all the action happening in the evening session??? I'm missing it all cos I'm too knackered to stay up that late.
