I remember it well, getting the visa 2 days after I completed the probationary period of my job and went on to 3 months notice. How I enjoyed those 3 months sitting in a job I didn't enjoy doing things that bored me with people I didn't like.

21 working days left
I officially hand in my resignation tomorrow, not that I've been keeping it quiet, but tomorrow its real!
Dont think I will be able to get much more work done, even though I agreed to stay on till the end of August to finish a project. I wish I hadnt!!!

I too am "retired" from work, but still waiting for p45 and last pay cheque. Hope they hurry up as I am gone in 9 days.
Oh leaves the office next Thursday, the day before we move out, except that technically he will be working from home for the next few days after that, then on holiday leave till 31st August, and new job in Sydney starting 1st Sept.

I seem to swap between this site and the domain website, setting up my dream house, working out how far it would be the beach, the shops, the ferry, my sisters house.
work is such a drag. Bring on the end of August

Well we are now 1 week in !!!
And apart from the Jet Lag we are loving it !!!!
Still feels a bit like a holiday i guess to the missus and son, but i was working right from the Monday morning.
Considering this is winter, the opportunity to spend time outdoors is great. Yesterday we took a stroll along the beach and then met up with some work colleagues and sipped Coffee in a beach side Cafe for 2 hours, taking in the sun and watching the surfers.
The pace of life is amazing, i have had to slow myself down at work, as when i get a task to do, i go and do it. People are looking at me as if i am crazy, "take your time man, do it later"
Looking for a house is a bit manic, not knowing the areas very well makes it a daunting prospect, as the house has to be right, but also the services and schools in the area.
All in all a very positive experience so far.
