Hubby was a firefighter at the Hatfield airfield. The main reason they closed the runway and so bolloxed the 146 manufacture was complaints from people who lived on the road at the end about the noise. Funny thing was those people were the very ones who built the 146's. They were all out of work and now have a honking great estate on their doorsteps
Yeah its a dump hey! My best friend lives at the Hilltop and my parents are in WGC, I try to avoid going there as much as possible

Why? Only been talking about it for 10 years since we went to spend time with our family for our honeymoon, drove up the ocean road as far as Port MacQuarie (I think thats how you spell it?) and fell in love, My heart has been on Oz ever since, been back 2 further times and found it very hard to leave, so bugger it, this time its for good!!!

Grew up in Basingstoke/Hampshire, educated at Keele/Staffordshire, lived in Newbury/Berkshire for a while before getting completely fed up back in '98.
Possibly not helped by post world-cup depression
so decided to go where football was completely alien! - Grabbed a working holiday visa and left!
Been in leafy western suburbs of Brisbane now ever since and somehow got settled found a wife, 2 kids and a dog!...
Now considering moving to Canberra though for better job oportunities! (Also considered back to UK or Sydney - both both totaly unaffordable)
Possibly not helped by post world-cup depression
