Plus it's free delivery and turns up in less than a week. The returns is an added bonus. Do you know if they can now ship to another dress than your billing address? Haven't ordered anything from there in a while because it's such a hassle for me to pick up or arrange re-delivery.

There are some great bargains in the sales at the moment - I picked up 3 pairs of Diesel jeans recently for less than $250 - one pair full price was $385!! Have a look around for some outlet stores too, you can pick up some good bargains.

On shop preferences, Portmans are quite good for ladies work wear, Cotton On for your basics (vests, tees, leggings) that don't tend to last that long - although they're nothing like H&M on price!

That's not a getting a bargain, that's getting something for a vaguely reasonable price rather than paying the ridiculous 'normal' rip off price.

Next, M&S, Monsoon, Wallis, Debenhams.

I also shop here too, wherever I am. If I see something I like, I buy it. (apart from kmart, their stuff is shite).

I bought me a lovely leather jacket on Ebay, only bought the odd item of clothing before on Ebay, bought handbags and other stuff but not clothes - so that could be another option for me.

I love Monsoon - might check out their website.

I used to spend a fortune in Monsoon, since being here I have bought Monsoon via ebay. Tis not the same though. I haven't looked into whether or not they send internationally. Wallis have only just started and I'm like oh ffs, more money, lol. I love Wallis too.

I shall keep an eye on Ebay from now on, I get my DVDs, books and CDs from Amazon.co.uk, shampoos/hair stuff from RY.com (QLD I think).

Ebay is quite addictive.

Daughter was just peering over my shoulder, looked at the thread title, asked if it was a trick question and answered 'Well, that would be shops. Duh!'. Wonder who she takes after?

Should have been more specific - Diesel jeans go for about 100 quid a pair back home so 3 pairs for less than $250 is still a pretty good bargain even at the current exchange rate... But then some folk would boke at paying that for jeans but each to their own and all.

Ebay can be pretty good for second hand books. I got 9 James Patterson books, all in great nic for $40 including postage! They sell for about $15 a piece on amazon or kindle despite being a really old series. Also joined my local library for free. Book prices are crazy here. I'll be hitting Asda/Tesco with an empty suitcase next time I'm back home that's for sure...

Oh cool! I can get stuff sent to work instead of having to schlepp to the post office with my 'we called and you were out' card!

Must check out Portmans, I don't think I've been in yet. Have had a few nice basic tops from Cotton On but found they bobble very quickly. I'd rather just wait a week and order from Next or M&S!

I have bought a few things in Portmans. The first top I bought had to return because of a fault.Returned it and had very good customer service.Replacement is fine.
