Just need to add leaving workJust resurrecting this thread because I start my new role in plain clothes (at CPIU) on Monday, for a few months. It's something I've been looking forward to in 2012 
(I also massively enjoyed my skiing holiday in Japan back in Feb, which I was looking forward to but now already seems like a distant memory!).
Anyone else done any of the things they were looking forward to in 2012 yet?

Not quite managed to do the "looking forward to" thing- but I have got the dates of my ops:July 9th and August 20th.
Also hadn't envisaged the fact that I'd have to give up my job, or that my daughter would break her foot just before major swimming championships, so this year isn't quite going as planned.
I did have a nice surprise when OH took me to Canberra for the weekend, but we were stuck in a traffic jam for well over an hour, so instead of 3.5 hours it was 5 hours to get there!!!
