Having less work, or at least more time to do it.
But then, since I'm a freelancer, I'll probably start worrying about not getting any more work!

Getting home to Melbourne in February.
Three Christmases in a row, working in Mogadishu, is enough for anyone.

Australian citizenship and the kids getting bleeding driving licences.
(They don't even have to be bleeding ones, just regular ones would do)
Oh, and perhaps having a proper holiday instead of using up all of Himself's leave allowance (and more) on a trip to the UK.

Finally, maybe, getting my eyes operated on so I can see properly, and getting the bathroom renovated- 3 years of the claustrophobic toilet is more than enough- can't understand why anyone would build a toilet so small that if you weigh more than 60kg you can't get in without knocking the loo roll off, and if you are 6 foot or more, can't sit down- and you have to go to the bathroom to wash your hands.
How unhygenic is that? (Luckily I am 5foot4 and weigh 57kg, so I can just fit in.)
Also to winning the war on ants, though that may be just an impossible dream. OH spent yesterday sealing up cracks in the kitchen, and going round on a search and destroy mission.

Getting out of hick Queensland with a PR visa.
Going to the Shetlands to see the olds in a few weeks.
Laser eye surgery and dental treatment in London - I'm getting excited about the prospect of not being a 'furniture face'

The end of it when we can finally stop hearing about all this Mayan calendar bullshit.
I'm kind of looking forward to the demise and break up of Europe and the world financial system, will be interesting to see what happens. Only kind of because I realise there's a distinct possibility it could have a negative impact on me and my family
House prices in the UK dropping further, otherwise I'm never going to hear the end of it from my wife about me forcing us to sell the house before coming here on our 457.
The end of La Nina and Brisbane having a hot day, 10 months and the maximum has been 35c
. I'll take 2 years of drought up to 2014 please.

Getting the house finally finished and working out what kind of dosh I'll have left for retirement. I still reckon I'm on target for full retirement in less than 10 years.

Looking forward to our trip back to UK in Septmber, it will be the first visit in over 2 years by then.

Doing a stint in plain clothes. Up to 6 months in either CIB or CPIU (child protection and investigation unit). Both plain clothes investigator roles (detectives). I should learn heaps and be involved in the big jobs

Also going skiing in Japan in Febrary. Can't wait

Can't agree more. Nightmare woman and politician.

Good luck with all of that Caroline!
Ha, enjoy!
Ooh, good thing! I've been eligible for ages, just haven't done it. I guess I should.
A friend of mine did that in UK -- child protection - pretty stressy in many respects. He also did undercover work infiltrating drug gangs... pretty awesome stuff... Enjoy!
