Very happy that I can get whatever I want to eat and like to eat in Perth. Lived around the world and love so many different types of food and cultures which are all available here....

Not so much that I never thought I'd eat it, but we eat sweet potato and mangoes (not together ) loads here, I don't think I'd had sweet potato before.
Being a Londoner, I didn't realise it was a northern English thing as well, just thought it was a funny Aussie thing!

Gravy/curry sauce with chips was found in the Chinese takeaway where I went to school in S Wales, so not just a northern thing

Yeah it is, I'd never come across it till I met a guy at college who came from Yorkshire, and went to school in Blackpool. Always wanted gravy with his chips, and the chip shop he used near hos school was the first one I'd ever been in which sold the so-called delicacy

Well I'm from Lincolnshire & the chippies there had 3 choices you had mushy peas with fish n chips. Curry sauce with sausage n chips & gravy with pie n chips.
Sometimes they served hard dried out baked beans but I never tried them

I never thought I'd eat a small mandarin with 31 pips in it, but I just have.

Sometimes biggest is not best, those sprouts are as woody as a woody thing
Nothing like sitting on the rocks eating oysters straight from the ocean.

Often wondered if that is because they don't get heavy frost on em like they do in UK. Wonder if they had a few days in the freezer they might be better!
