All their systems seems to be down...
I have tried ATM, Using my card at the Supermarket, Online website.
Anybody know the reason?
Could be an attack to their systems after they announced record profits yesterday!!! You never know!

WESTPAC customers have no access to their online banking details and some ATM and EFTPOS facilities this morning.
Westpac spokeswoman Jane Counsel said the problem was triggered by an air-conditioning problem at a data centre, which had triggered the meltdown of the banking website and some cash withdrawal facilities.
At 8.45am, a Westpac Bank spokesman said the air-conditioning had been restored at the data centre.
"I understand the air-conditioning system has been restored but it is now about getting it all back to the appropriate temperatures and getting the system back up and running,’’ he said.

Gawd, it brought back memories of retail in the 80s and 90s

How the hell did we used to manage?

I put petrol in the car on the way back from dropping Himself at the station - about 6.30am or so. The cashier was doing Westpac transactions the good old fashioned way, with a big doofer machine (that's a technical term for one of those swishy machines where you put the card on the plate, cover it with a carbon thingy and dushdouff the slider).

Never remember to use it when our system has gone down
