'Are we doing the right thing???'

I had the 'Sunny day syndrome' today
Jobs good, works good, family good.
What about if you have already done it once, came back but are risking everything by trying again?
Although I love Oz, the situation we found ourselves in last time was a pile of poo, now was it us or the situation???
Will still go, looking forward to it really but sometimes I get bloody fed up with the 'Oz' thingy which has been in our lives for the last 5 years!

If you think of it this way:
If immigration came and said 'We made a mistake.... you can't have the visa'
how would you feel?
Still want to go? LOL
You are just having a few 'Oooh my gods!!' You'll be fine

My hubby isn't great at dealing with big decision making ... and this is one MASSIVE decision so he's been a little apprehensive ... to say the least ... that's why its taken us 2 YEARS to get to the visa application stage

after all, i have excepted that i love both countries for what they offer, i just can't HAVE both. so the decision will be based on where i think me and hubby will be happiest when old and grey, and where the kids will have a better teenage/ early adulthood. further than that for the kids i can't judge because we could stay here and they could all bugger off somewhere else anyway
at we are not alone in our dilema's

if you have already done it once (like us) you are terminally insane and might as well be mad/stupid/idiotic and wobbly over there than over here.

Cheers Louise,
It's just so bloody frustrating isn't it? I get all excited but then then next moment its
is it just me? Like you, I actually like both countries, I never ran away from the uk in the first place just wanted a better quality of life. But you hit the nail on the head about where you want to be when you are old and grey and all the kids have left home. The kids may decided to move to outer mongolia or something aswell.
I just read the moving back forum and there are a couple of posts on there where ping ponger are moving to the uk again. Just makes you think thats all.

Hi
You're bound to be having up n down thoughts.......
Have you thought of validating yur visas to see - a kind of reccie and holiday.cheaper than migrating to go home again
how about thinking of it as give it a go for 2 years. After 2 years you'll have settled in and have a pretty good idea AND you citizenship. It'll take the pressure of massively if you dont look at it as forever.....
I went back to the UK after thinking Oz wasnt for me, much as I love the UK though, I decided to move back. I should have gone on holiday back to England.
Hope you're all excited again when you get this and the best of best of best of luck!!!!
Where r u planning on moving to?
