Getting mine done in Feb before going out in June: have been advised to get general anaesthetic.
Apparently the experience of being pulled off the operating table by enthusiastic surgeon is one to avoid whilst awake..........
Still SWMBO had two caesars and I had to walk her to the shower the following day on each occasion....
That month I shall be mostly wearing speedos.......and kids are banned from coming within 2 yards of me.....

Hope it all goes well for you.
Your user name will have a whole new meaning for after the operation.

Can you have it done under general. Just have the Valium and go into la la land
It's actually very quick, only took about 7mins, and 5 of that was getting the chainsaw started

After the event, my daughter kept asking "Why is Dad getting more bags of frozen peas out of the Freezer again ? "
Actually I've been wondering why she doesn't eat peas anymore

general - You big girls....
A very nervous meeting room, followed by 10 mins of the doctor doing the business while asking how's work going and did you want to take a look. Hell.. did want to take a look for a week.

My hubby has had the op TWICE!!!!
No kidding.
First time the dog jumped on him the day after the op and it got infected!!!!
6 months later he still hasn't had the all clear from the hospital!!
So off he goes for vasectomy number 2!!! The doctor who did the original op holds up a jar and shows him his tubes that they cut out previously!!
Glad to say it worked the second time around

Many vasectomies these days, they don't actually cut anything out, they just snip at one point, and move the tube ends away from each other.

This was 7 years ago.
After I had my kids - both c sections - he jabbed me to see if it hurt! Oh the pleasure I got from doing the same to him!!!!

My OH has finally agreed to go in for it, and we had to go to the local GP to get a referral let, and she suggested the Marie Stopes clinic over here as she said it's what they do all day long so are good at it, but we've been quoted $496 out of pocket after the medicare rebate!!!!!!! Have it done in the U.K. mate, it's free!!!!! I'm sure someone somewhere will be willing to test your samples...!!!!
