1 & 4 are their Dad all over again, 3 is like my father but haven't yet discovered who number 2 resembles - and I can assure you they all have the same father - although he reckons he's adopted! lol!

I have thoroughly enjoyed these Games, kicking the Aussies butts has been a bonus but generally speaking England have done exceptionally well and not just in selective sports, right across the board.

Yes, England have done very well and as I've said before you'd want some return on the massive investment for 2012 and 2014 Games in sporting facilities and allowing so many athletes to be full time; Scotland and Canada have done better comparatively.

Enjoy it while it lasts; Gold Coast 2018 will probably be a different story.

Casting aside nationalism and parochialism for a moment, the true winners have been sport, Scotland and the city of Glasgow.

Will the games have a positive influence on the Yes campaign. I would imagine it would especially as the games seem to be considered a success and Scotland have done well.

The Scottish crowd appear to have been very enthusiastic - fair play to them.

I just hope they now have enough confidence to go it alone and go for independence.

England have been superb overall, so well done to them. Very proud! Nice to see England with a proper English anthem as well, as opposed to GSTQ.

Yes exactly, of course they will but it will take a long time to get back the lost ground, certainly longer than Rio or the GC. 8 years ago Australia won 112 more medals than England, this year England won 30 odd more than Australia, that wont turn around anytime soon.
