I haven't looked into it so what are their policies?

Quite a number of big cuts planned for the near future, the EU in/out referendum promised in 2017 - and absolutely no need to give a flying f**k about scotland.

My guess is 'English vote for English Matters' will end up being a structure that locks in London and the SE as the controlling entity via a semi-federal structure.

Sounds fair to me. The moment I see "Mansion Tax", despite never owning a mansion, I instantly feel like there's discrimination happening.

Conservative - Main pledges

Eliminate the deficit and be running a surplus by the end of the Parliament
Extra £8bn above inflation for the NHS by 2020
Extend Right to Buy to housing association tenants in England
Legislate to keep people working 30 hours on minimum wage out of tax
30 hours of free childcare per week for working parents of 3&4-year-olds
Referendum on Britain’s EU membership

Labour - Main pledges

Responsibility "triple lock": fully funded manifesto, cut the deficit every year, balance the books as soon as possible in next Parliament
Extra £2.5bn for NHS, largely paid for by a mansion tax on properties valued at over £2m
Raise minimum wage to more than £8ph by 2019
No rise in VAT, NI or basic and higher rates of income tax
Access to childcare from 8am-6pm for parents of primary school children
Freeze energy bills until 2017 and give energy regulator new powers to cut bills this winter

Ouch, a -13.5 swing against Lib Dems. There's a bruise that's gonna linger! :D

Meanwhile, the SNP storms into victory in Scotland and takes its rightful place as the third party of British politics. UKIP is... virtually non-existent. Farage could lose his seat, and if that happens it will be a devastating blow to the party.

What a devastating result for Labour! I expected this to be close, but they've been utterly crushed. Cameron has received a massive endorsement from voters keen to see him push his austerity mandate all the way. It's clear that Britons want harsh cost-cutting measures.

Polly Toynbee is already shrieking and wailing like it's the end of Western civilisation.

Actually a credible narrative can be made for it being Lib Dem voters deciding they didn't like the sound of the SNP having so much power and deciding to vote for the Tories instead to keep Labour out (and get that EU referendum vote).

It's going to be interesting in that the Tories will think they have carte blanche to do what they want - and the SNP think that they have to get what they want because they had so many MPs.

I don't see a massive endorsement of Cameron - nor UKIP as non existent. So far UKIP have polled more votes than the SNP and have seen the biggest swing in votes. They had received 11% of votes counted the last time I looked compared to around 30% for both Lib and Con. To me that amounts to a massive amount of disillusioned voters - and a massive amount who will feel disenfranchised.

Not a good position for the country :(

Miliband's speech on being re-elected was quite telling. Seems he's all but conceded defeat and acknowledged that the Scotland situation is making the whole idea of a united kingdom look a little rocky at the moment.

Predicting Tories on 325 now - enough for a majority.

Local income tax ahoy

Tories also pledged to raise the inheritance tax threshold to $1m I believe.

I think that a lot of people had seen that a far-left, anti-UK/west SNP would be calling the shots and have said f**k that

Nope, predictions are 1 seat short of a majority now. He can deal with the DUP alone and fob the rest off.

Early days still needs a back up plan. Great to see UKIP gains. Maybe he can get them to join him Eh?
