Not sure if you can get them easily in Oz, but I bought back a £40 wireless, pan/tilt, network camera with me from the UK - to play with. Motion sensing alarm built in, with emailing of the pics. Connects to my tablet or smartphone, so can be viewed from anywhere.

Attachment 107407

Can you point me at exactly what you have please.

Ive been looking and they start at 250 bucks on Ebay and I need Two... One for the front of the house and One for the back.

Wireless, IP, Tilt and Pan, Zoom Email and Infra Red.

Thanks

Thankfully you can't buy turkey twizzlers here in Australia, they are a UK Chav phenomenon!! You really need to learn to troll better, your posts are boring even when I am as pissed as a fart :)

C'mon its what all northernbirds feed their kids! Just ask Kerry Katona!

Roaring they're like a healthier version of chickin mcnuggets and here's proof:

I can hand on heart say I have NEVER bought turkey twizzlers!! Actually, I don't buy any of that type of thing full stop. I had to buy chicken nuggets a couple of years back for some gathering and that was the food I was allocated, I didn't have a clue what to get because I just don't buy it. I made some lovely crumbed chicken for tea last night, used panko breadcrumbs which made them lovely and crispy. There is no need at all to feed your children that shite :)

Think I prefer making my own chicken nuggets (using chicken breasts rather than processed meat) and cooking them in the oven.

Lots of them, all basically the same, and around the same price point : eg http://www.amazon.co.uk/webcam-Inter.../dp/B003VUY5PW
  • Pan/Tilt, IR illuminators (which can be an issue), 2 Way audio
  • Wifi or Wired, WPA2, DDNS, uPnP
  • Motion detect, with email or FTP upload of images.
  • Browser view on network, or apps for smartphone/tablets.
Issues:
  • They aren't weather proof, they are designed for use indoors (although some have used them outside, under shelter) and if you put them behind glass the illuminators just produce glare off the glass and you can't see anything at night. Better to disconnect and use separate illuminators.
  • They have no IR filter usually, so colours look off (greens look grey). More expensive ones (£60) have IR cut filters that automagically move aside at night.
  • The compression of video is MJPEG. x264 ones are available at higher prices.
  • Resolution is 640x480, higher resolution ones cost more.
  • The motion sensing is a bit sensitive to the sun coming out from behind clouds, although there is provision for connecting them to IR sensors, etc. to trigger them.
  • They are chinese, the instructions are v poor and you have to have a brain to get them set up.
Overall, they are good value, and good for what they do, but they do have limits and foibles that you have to work within.
