So shouldn't everybody be outside enjoying their Australian lifestyle barbecueing the crap out of a pack of turkey twizzlers and sloshing back the quality beer (brewed from start to finish in 24 hours) while intermittently nodding "Everythings absolutely flamin marvellous marvellous mate/Farkin A to their neighbours? As opposed to stuck indoors watching English tv??...

I reckon I may have some kind of Media set up addiction problem. I've got Foxtel, Fetch TV.... I've wired up my whole house so I can stream from a central posistion. I've got PS3 set up and Xbox so They can be streamed toat any time from a central location, with all of my media.... I've bought an Acer Revo so I can Run XBMC and have all my downloaded movies catergorised and shared in every liveable room in the house.

I really really enjoy setting all this up.... my admission is I hardly watch anything :o

I've actually finished and acheived what I wanted now... Two 50 inch tv's in my different living rooms, decent sound systems. Smart wired the whole house, I cant improve anything and it's a very uneasy feeling, Mucked around with VPN's NZB's and Torrents.

Last thing I watched I downloaded about 30 mins before we watched it... and thats despite having at least 4 TB's of media to watch. Great movie though... Best Exotic Marigold Hotel.

What do you do, when you can't actually do anymore or improve on your hobby of 10 years plus ? Spotify actually woke me up and made me realise that we aren't that far from all media on the cloud.... so you dont need to store or download anything any more.

Time to turn to Gardening me thinks. Hmmm I could make an outside theartre for those warm summer nights ;) Problem is I now know I'm very unlikely to be interested in watching it much.

I could probably make money out of what I've learned and start up a business.

Can I just point out that sir is lacking a projector, and no amount of 50inch TVs is going to compare.

Can I also say that sir is sensible in his integration of his media viewing activities, and ahead of the crowd (but then again, I would say that, it's wot I've got). Sir might like to consider tablets and security cameras with such a system.

Give it a go. Startup costs are low, and a little biz that offers to advise, purchase and setup an integrated media solution would probably find some buyers - although you might have to hold your nose and buy apple for some people.

If it's clear then we can only get 9, Gem and Go.

If it's raining then we have a chance of some other channels.

The aerial will be the first thing to be fixed once funds permit :D

I do like a torrent or two though ...

Funny you should say that.... I'm actually considering it because of the expensive plants I'm going to use in my garden LOL !

Not sure if you can get them easily in Oz, but I bought back a £40 wireless, pan/tilt, network camera with me from the UK - to play with. Motion sensing alarm built in, with emailing of the pics. Connects to my tablet or smartphone, so can be viewed from anywhere.

Hmmm, cool bit of kit, just had a look at that.

Unfortunately we could only get the 'Lite' version (due to being in the sticks and all) and the free to air digital channels still come via the aerial, which is knackered :D

Have you looked outside here recently? I'm hibernating for the foreseeable future.

Oh and I'm fairly certain Turkey Twizzlers are a UK abomination.;)

Thankfully you can't buy turkey twizzlers here in Australia, they are a UK Chav phenomenon!! You really need to learn to troll better, your posts are boring even when I am as pissed as a fart :)

They used to serve them up to the kids at school. No idea if you can get them in the shops. Never tried one myself but the girls liked them when they were in primary school.
