Sure it won't happen. Doesn't mean it shouldn't. And no, Trump isn't the genius you think he is. He is an enormous egomaniac who has just been gifted the most perfect present for an egomaniac. |

Yes, indeed. It will be interesting.
And just maybe all the polls which had Hillary in the lead most of the time, and influenced largely by the media, backfired by motivating more people to vote for Donald. If there were no pre-election polls, then no-one would be influenced by them. But for me, meh. Or demotivated as the case may have been. Only 55.6% of the population bothered to vote. Incredible considering the supposed issues at stake. This suggests an ever bigger number have turned of politics as having any relevance to their lives. A worrying concept for democracy, surely? |

Cameron - gone
Obama - going Clinton - gone Merkel - next Here's to a righter, brighter future  |

On the basis of the Canadian website crashing, I'm thinking it won't just be the celebs jumping ship. I think a lot of progressive, sane, types will be looking at their options to get out of dodge. Not sure how many will end up in Oz, but I'll guess there will be an uptick in those looking to get visas.
Ideal time for an Oz government to look at easier visa requirements for west coast entrepreneurs and VCs.... Just a shame OZ doesn't have progressive politics then, to fill the void, disenchanted Democrats and Republicans for that matter, may be yearning. I suspect Canada a better call. |

National socialism a better future really? Cameron a self serving Tory. Merkel a sell out conservative. Two of the four mentioned from the right.
I suppose Hanson would be your ideal to a brighter Australian future? Bizarre Merkel a sell out? She sold out her people by importing 1 million 3rd world muslims into their nation. She is going to reap what she sowed Hanson is a joke - a one trick pony - but many people democratically voted for her - and the mainstream political elite (aka champagne socialists) are failing to see that, and the result is things like Brexit, Pegida and Trump A righter, brighter future is on track  |
