You fall into the former zealout camp no doubt with an agenda and all.

Yes this trade thing is going to get ugly. Not a great move by Trump.

Nothing to do with the Hillary (whom I largely detested) Trump debate. I'm a social democrat so clear what side I was on, neither of the above two.
Saying that Trump may be, probably a big ask as he'll probably have more chance of internally exploding somehow, but just maybe the one to put an end to this neoliberal so termed 'free market' or at least reset it.

So again best curtail your ridiculous statements about zealots whom are clearly marked out on this thread/forum. I'll leave the agendas to an obvious pro of that matter yourself.

History shows that trade wars cause more harm than good - depression and even war can be the result

Madness - but I think that congress will have the final say on this

History also shows poorly negotiated deals can have negative effects. Maybe he approach will backfire, but it might be simply a tactic to re-negotiate and get a better trade position. Time will tell. Trump doesn't seem to have a problem saying one thing in public, then modifying it in practice. If China charges a 25% duty on American cars, yet America charges 2.5% ( or whatever the current rate is), sees some re-negotiating in order.

All I can think is that the South Korean leader, ingested an extra hot plate of Kimchee, that dulled his senses, to suggest such as a thing as Trump for such an award.

Funny thing being of course, I have yet to witness DRK (North Korea) agreeing to anything at all apart from a meet.

Nah, it's just that he, like Kim to the north, realise there is man-child in the US who can be conned into any action if you apply bullsh*t by the truckload. If trumpy thinks he's god's gift to diplomacy, then he will keep him buttered up, particularly so he doesn't get persuaded into any 'genius' ideas about removing US troops from the DMZ that fatboy will suggest.

Hell Reagan was out of his depth when he met with Gorbachev, and this is going to be even more unmatched, just at a dumber and more dangerous level.

Yeah. The Soviets really got the better of the Americans in the 1980s, especially the latter part of that decade. Oh wait . . .

Wow. Trump gets a compliment of the South Korean president and you attack Trump and not Moon Jae-in.

Is that because South Korea has the world's fastest internet so its instant respect?

It's called 'having a clue'.

You should try it.

Kim has got his nuke, and he's got his rocket. They aren't going away, but his test site is buggered after the last yield was too big. So what does he do? He realised trump is a simpleton, so he plays the peace piece again and sees what he can extract for the promise of no nukes - never really meaning it of course.

And trump is daft enough that there is a real chance he could convince him to withdraw troops, he's suggested it before after all.

This is why the toddler should have already been locked away, he's to stupid and corrupt to play with the big boys, and too narcissistic to realise it.

You mean North Korea is so stuffed from sanctions that they want a little break.

No never.

That's what "coming to the table" is all about. Deals and negotiations.

Until now, no one was sitting at the table so this is a very large break through for all.

Here you go. An articles from a far right american conservative website saying exactly the opposite.

North Korea and the Failure of Sanctions | The American Conservative

And if you think the norks are serious about anything other than getting concessions from the south/US - I've got a bridge I can sell you. It's not as if there isn't a track record.

February is now ancient history. Looks like the Don read that article and is going for the new approach.

If you want to understand what's happening at a noddy level of complexity, this video that I came across lays it out.
