Donald Trump: The phone call that rocked the relationship between US and Australia - Donald Trump's America - ABC News (Australian Broadcasting Corporation)

Not only did he rant in private at the PM (and Turnbull isn't going to forgive that quick), he let it leak and then tweeted about it - putting it all out there for everyone to see.

Does this cretin really not understand that you need friends? I'm seriously thinking that he's got mental issues and needs to be 'sectioned' fast. What the hell is he going to do in an emergency?

He seemed quite friendly with Teresa May.

Trump will roll on this one. He's got his vetting policy on the go and this is at complete odds to it.

Trump is a deal maker. There doesn't appear to be a deal in it for Trump. ...... hold on ......Perfect opportunity to practice the new vetting procedures.

I agree with Trump - this is a shite deal for them

This is Australia's problem, not America's

Saying that, Trump needs Australia when dealing with Asia - which is probably why he agreed to the deal

Yep. At the time I couldn't understand why the US took this on. Mal the deal maker. Mal has got his work cut out for him working with someone who actually knows how to deal.

It's sad that this little girl has been killed in the US raid in Yemen but WTF was an American child doing in a know, operational terrorist base in the middle-east?

The whole problem is, he doesn't.

This is a no-brainer from an international relations standpoint - you do the agreed refugee swap because the benefit is many times the (basically zero) cost. Anything else costs you many times more in good will.

And you DON'T tweet about it.

Frankly Trunbull has no option but obviously play tough with trump from here on, otherwise he looks weak and spineless and weakness means Abbott is circling, smelling blood.

In one moronic step trump has hurt himself and the US international relations. All because he's too much of the petulant schoolboy to play international relations at even a kindergarten level.

This is not new news you know. The yanks have thought it was a crap deal for a couple of months now.

Donald Trump backer says Australia-US refugee swap deal is 'dead on arrival'

When you say 'the yanks' you actually mean one guy from an anti immigration think tank. That's not exactly the same thing.

'the yanks' - you are learning diplomacy from Trump. 'tough hombres' to the Mexican President; 'you are sending us the next Boston bombers' to Turnbull. I can't help feeling if Hilary Clinton had said something as crass, provocative, speculative and inflamatory as that Trump would have threatened to throw her in jail or have her prosecuted.

Prior to Trump's phone call questioning and not honouring the agreement made Spicer (his press secretary) said the Trump administration would honor the agreement, saying the refugees would be submitted to "extreme vetting." This consistency in negotiations is just what we're looking for. It's also refreshing that a world leader does his policy announcing and character assassination by Tweets (not).

Trump's the old timer actually (oldest President to take office) and he tweets and harasses young women as part of his beyond mid-life crisis. The straw thatch and probably the carrot tan has also been explained by his doctor:

Sorry I don't read NYTimes. Needs to be more central.

Who says he harrasses young women? Those gold diggers? What's happening on Eastenders these days?

Anyhow so what if he does? Look at his wife. You don't get if you don't ask.

Do you think Trump bullied PM May into giving him a State reception? Is May weak? They expect 1mn protesters, how is May going to deal with that?
