The travel ban thing combined with asking Saudi Arabia to help with setting up regional "Safe zones" for the refugees is a masterstroke. It will benefit not only the refugees but the West too, who don't have the resources to accommodate another tidal wave of people who are not able to assimilate. In fact, The Donald may have just saved Western civilisation https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6b0bIEMsHwM And Wilders, Le Pen and Pegida to help him this year hopefully  |

You know what, many infrastructure projects provide the environmental cleanup that otherwise wouldn't occur. You want to build a road over a former land fill? Guess what. You need to clean out that land fill before doing so. You want to build a new Olympic Site in East London. Every grain of soil needed to be taken off site, cleaned and replaced. |

All work building mines in WA, and mine infrastructure has to be rehabilitated on completion, that's all top soil replaced, ploughed to encourage seeds taking root, and local flora spread over the area. We had to slow down to 30K when close to Bilby habitats. When building HS1, for every 1 great crested newt habitat destroyed, 5 had to be created.

There is no issue. You just want there to be one. BTW illegal border crossing are at an all time low, so it's not as if its answering a need.

Ah yes, when all else fails lets go to the environmental impact.
The pipeline were always to bring oil through america, to the gulf coast and export. They made most sense when prices were high, for the Canadians. However, now it doesn't make much sense, particularly since with these pipelines stalled the Canadians have made alternative arrangements to get the oil to a coast. Add in daft 'buy american' stipulations that Trump has bolted in, and it's unlikely they will go ahead anyway. It's all symptomatic of a trumpish belief that environmental impact assessments is just getting in the way of him making a fast buck. Same as he thought the AG was just getting in his way by upholding the law. He's acting as a dictator in all but name - here's hoping he gets hauled off in cuffs soon. |
Re: The Trumpmare is happening... Who will win?
Oh this is choice :
The person questioned is Sally Yates, the AG just sacked by trump for doing what is the AG's role and being independent. The questioner is Jeff Sessions, the PoS that trump wants to put in the AG's role - asking if she is up to telling the president "no". Maybe someone should be asking him the same question about now? |

He seems to be becoming less defensible by the minute, I was willing to give the bloke a chance but I'm reviewing the situation. This clip has it nailed, just the wrong way round |

Your magic crystal ball that is always wrong is giving you a bum steer again. You are looking too deeply into the conspiracies to support your anti Trump agenda again. Point it towards Obama for this one. Next? Any road, rail, other infrastructure conspiracies? |
Re: The Trumpmare is happening... Who will win?
I'm not sure where some of the claims above come from but Trump's diapproval rating is going up and his approval rating is going down according to polls (there hasn't been an election so we can only go by polls). In the last week his approval rating has dropped 8%:
