I'd advise getting the widest caravan (think it was 12ft) as it makes a massive difference and buy some fans as they are boiling in the summer and freezing in the winter! Me and kids used to get dressed under the quilt in the morning as it was just too cold to get undressed

One good thing is there's hardly any housework to do, you just have to be really organised..........I ran our caravan like a military barracks to keep it tidy!
I'm going to send an e-mail, hopefully it will give them a little nudge in the right direction. Thanks Sue x

Would be good for us (John1 and Babysinead) to stay in touch as we have made the final visa journey together
BBQ sounds good!!
We were discussing today wether to bother shipping or not.....we have no furniture of any value. Really all we would be taking are some personal effects, photos, clothes, toys etc. Cant decide wether worth shipping tvs, surround sound etc, will it work ok out there?? We have to ship hubbies tools (Carpenter) so is it worth throwing a few more boxes in?
I have not idea how small a shipment you can send and what the costs are! Decisions decisions

TV's do work but they are about the same price to buy as here....so why have the extra cost of shipping.
Love to all stay in touch.

Sue we are taking nothing, apart from sentimental stuff that we are going to have posted out at a later date (until then will stay in the fathers in laws garage) we have sold nearly all our stuff and have got some good prices for things, but i believe that you can hire 1/2 a 20ft container (or 1/4 worth asking) crown relocations are meant to be the best and they can be haggled on price. We got a quote for a 20ft container, 5k !!!!! no thanks. Their is a massive IKEA in WA so when we get our perm rental we will pop their and furnish the house, cheaper.

Thats great, thanks for the advice. None of our tvs etc are not pricey ones, just £300 new, so we can probably buy the same second hand over there. Was thinking the same, storing the photos etc in a garage and sending them by courier once we have a fixed abode. I think you are allowed two suitcases each on the flight anyway! Will have to ship hubbies tools, but not enough for a container, will have to find out best way to send them. Maybe a post on the tradies thread.
