Had the swine flu jab yesterday as we are off to the uk for winter where it is fairly prevalent around our old neck of the woods and my son has a medical history of dangerous illnesses. It didn't hurt then, hasn't hurt or ached today, totally unaware that we've had anything done. It's not a live vaccine.

Really? I didn't know that.

I had the decision of having the H1N1 jab but I think I will change my mind about it because I have not the first flu jab.

I have asthma ad some other problems I had the ordinary flu jab and my Dr asked me to come in nd have the swine flu jab the arm ached a bit no other symptoms than that

I think people with respiratory symptoms should have it but that's my opinion

You will be pleased to know i have decided to have both flu and swine flu jab after having great discussion with my doctor and i am booked in for next Friday which i am counting the days down to, as my sister in law came down with swine flu last weekend.
I just hope that i don't chicken out at the last minute like i did a week ago.

Well all the panic is over and i can now say that for the fist time ever i have now had the flu and swine flu jab both done at the same time, one in each arm.
The swine flu jab was the worst and makes your arm hurt quite a lot (but bearable)for a couple of days.
Still off my food a little bit from having them probably me having built myself up over going in for them.
At least i now know i will be all right having them for another year.

Hah! I've just put down the phone from my local clinic, where I cancelled my swine flu jab for the 2nd time in two weeks. This time I didn't re-schedule.

I just can't bring myself to get it done, so here's hoping the nasty illness I had last June was the swine flu as I suspect it was, and that I don't come in contact with the swine flu for the rest of my pregnancy.

No, was wondering when it would be available for the under 10's. But no, I won't immunise my 2 yr old with it.

not anymore.
turns out that we are being told that its just people that have underlying conditions that are at risk. not the case now!
