Planet Earth II has begun transmission in the UK, so those with a VPN that works, or that can make other arrangements, might like to take note.

And, of course, the Blu-Ray will be available in the UK when the series concludes (5th Dec) - which might give just enough time for it to get to Oz before Xmas ....

No sign of the 4K UHD version yet.

OMG, that iguana being chased by the snakes - the stuff nightmares are made of.

Anyone else getting into The Crown on Netflix? Mrs Renth and I are enjoying that.

I have a huge Netflix backlog - been working my way through The Expanse, which is really good. Also need to finish The 100 and Continuum.

Not looked at The Crown yet...

Still to get into that

Westworld (HBO so download or Kodi/Exodus) is superb

Series 3 of The Fall on BBC iplayer was okay, if a bit slow

Enjoyed Goliath (Billy Bob Thornton) on Amazon Prime

Series 2 of The Man in the High Castle on Amazon starts soon - and The Grand Tour of course

Dark Angel (about Britain's first serial killer) on ITV Hub was good

Who watches commercial TV anymore!

I haven't been able to get ANY TV channels at all for about a month, no 9, no 7, no 10, no ABC no SBS. Don't know why.

The only time I mind is on Saturday morning when I like Rage. Also when the bushfires kick off, I like to watch the news to see if I can spot myself LOL!

I guess I'l have to try to puzzle out what's going on eventually.

Renth, have you tried sticking an aerial in your TV?

Just watched the second series of Marco Polo and now started the third series of Blacklist. Both very good.

Rage is cool to watch in bed on Saturday morning

We do watch a bit of ABC - news, Q&A, Foreign Correspondent etc

Series 2 of Narcos was well made but I know a bit about the story of Escobar and they really padded it out

LOL, I guess I could do that but every house in my suburb has cable and the free to air channels come through this. I think there's a problem with that system. Or I might have broken a coax connection up in the roof when I was up there last. Not sure.

The Grand Tour - superb - Like TG on steroids

Opening sequence was awesome - the Hothouse Flowers was a blast from the past!

Same banter and dicking around

Looks like Amazon are on to a winner

Actually looking at starting The Expanse this weekend. :)

As for Continuum, the first season was great but later it on really went bad...

The opposite is the case with The 100. The first season was okay, a bit low-budget, but seasons 2 & 3 were excellent. I've rarely seen a show improve so much in season 2 over season 1.

Looks like Amazon Prime is now available locally - without having to set up a US account like I did a few years ago:
EXCLUSIVE: Amazon Prime Video available in Australia RIGHT NOW – EFTM

I think AP is as good as Netflix - and now they have the Grand Tour

I managed to sign up just in time to get a US$20 discount.:thumb:

Just need to work out how to get it working on Safari now. Silverlight plug in is supposed to work but it isn't.

It works on Chrome although Safari is supported

Best option is to get an Amazon Fire TV player or stick. They are currently not available locally (although that will probably change soon) but can be got off EBay - the best small box streaming solution IMO. Superb devices
