I've just realised that my stat decs were witnessed not by qualified people but just by friends of the Aussies that did them. Do you think it matters? I'm going to get them all certified tomorrow. Dont want anything to be wrong, but surely they wont quibble, we have been married for 11 years nearly and have 3 kids!

I would have thought it will be OK. Were the UK ones witnessed by professionals? We only sent 2 off in the end. Did you use form 888? Like you say, I think your marriage and the fact that you have 3 kids is quite a bit of proof of an on-going relationship

they were both by Aussie citizens, one of which is my OH's sister, she did hers in Aus and had it witnessed by a nurse. My other one that was done by a pilot friend who lives here was witnessed by a guy I work with who is a manager so fingers crossed that will be ok. Thanks all!

Now, next question - medical.......I need to take - passport, cheque book, form 26 and form 160 and some photos- how many?

Anything else I have forgotten?

I only had my medical last month and I cant remember!, memory must be going!,
think you just need 2 photos one for each form and it gets stapled to the front over the wee square,
(just staple it once btw  - I was paranoid it would fall off so attacked it with the stapler before i went only for grim faced receptionist to pick them all off again whilst giving me evil stares )

think the 2 photos you put on your medical forms are supposed to be the same as the ones you submit with your visa application but not sure about that

Think a nurse is OK. We had a nurse certify our copies and that didn't seem to be a problem. Funny how you worry about things isn't it....I bet they don't even bother looking at them once they see how long you've been married etc

Can't remember re the photos. I think it was one photo for each form. I don't remember them having to be the same as the ones on your visa application. The ones we sent with Anita's application were sent back to us with the original documents we sent.... I guess they must scan them in.

Going to Brisbane as that is where OH's family live. OH is working on a contract that was supposed to finish at Xmas but he has just found out might be end NOvember now....so we are going for January I think, that will give us time to sort out the house and just generally sort all the crap out!!
