Im irish and my OH aussie,plan to get married next march(14th actually)come bact to london and sort out all this visa melarky then head off to brissie.
This site is great and enjoy listening to everyones stories and whinges,esp the whinges:)So catch up again and find out how far we all are down the visa road,just hope its not an irish road were everything is just round the corner and only 5 mins away,NOT:rofl:

Yay! Got my passport back with the visa sticker in it! They actually tried to put it through the door yesterday when I was in the bath so I didn't hear them dammit!

got my police check back today - 1 minor 'blip' on it but I hope I'll be alright!

Chest Xray on monday, then I have to book meds.

Is it best to apply for my visa as soon as I get my Medicals done?

You don't have to wait to have your xray to book the medical. You may have to wait a few weeks for an appointment, we did. You also do not need to wait for your medical to submit your application. The doctor will send the report direct to the Strand when done. Our medical was sent by the Doctor a week after we sent the application.

I had to wait a week between x-ray and medical in Bristol (apparantly to give the x-ray people chance to post it to the medical people). I guess if you are getting them both done in the same building you might be able to do them together?
