Re: Spouse Visa Circle - join here!
Hi everybody
Posted defacto visa off tuesday morning via royal mail, then we flew to Berlin for a short holiday tuesday evening and got back Friday night. Had email which had been sent on the Thursday saying i have been assigned a case officer and they needed more info; Aussie police checks which i have already sent off for and a military police clearance check, which i had no idea about but know how to get them now. I think that was all there asking for but the email wasnt very clear so might have to give them a bell on Monday. But im so pleased they got it as you can never trust royal mail! just hope this is all the extra info they need. Congrats to the couple of people who got there visas last week. |

so you think there is no point phoning to plead my case , i know her dad has no objections to us going but it took weeks to get him to sign a letter, enclose a copy of his passport picture and return to me with a self addressed envelope. goodness knows how long it would take to get him to go to a lawyer. how did you go about the court order?? sorry, taking ages to type but bottom of wine glass was quite interesting:o Your best bet is to chase up the father. Offer him an incentive to do it quickly, maybe make an appointment with a solicitor for him, and tell him you'll pay. Maybe you could print off the template of what the AHC actually wants, as my ex did go to a solicitor, but the solicitor did it wrong so the AHC rejected it. Then my ex dug his heels in and refused to do another. Your immediate problem is to get an extension from your case officer. You could always try appealing directly, but they do seem to stick to the rules judging from what I've read on other threads. I hope that helps. Q |
Re: Spouse Visa Circle - join here!
thanks Q.
I have emailed this morning asking if its possible to reconsider on what i have provided, plus her age and the fact i have custody, but i will look for the template as suggested and look for a lawyer in the area who will do this kind of thing (i had already asked the only one in the town when we started proceedings but he said he couldn't do it) her dad doesn't object its getting hold of him that's the issue, he lives miles away and more than often works away also. thank you for your help, i am calmer today and more positive, yesterday was just a bad day that got worse. |
