Hi folks, its been kind of quiet round here.

A quick update and a few questions (as always :o )

i think we have all our paperwork collected, and we have our meds on Tuesday, so once they are done i intend sending all away this week

i am struggling with q6 on forms, the 'intended occupation/activity' one.
i dont know what i am going to do, i'm a manager with local authority at the mo, but strongly doubt i will do the same, i will be happy stacking shelves as long as i bring in some dollars - so what do i put in?

also has anyone had their meds done in glasgow who could give me a bit of an insight into whats going to happen.

my daughter is now really worried as i told her they will take blood, 10 mins later outcame the confessions of a smoke of some 'illegal substances' last weekend, and she is panicked that this show up and we won't get. i have tried to reassure her but at the same time leave her panicked (mothers revenge :sneaky: ) does anyone think it will affect our chances???

thanks in advance

Yeah they take blood but just to test for aids and hep b&C, I dont think the hep tests are compulsory but I did them as I have a tattoo, not exactly sure what q6 is, what form?

If its form 80 I didnt bother filling that in and nothing was said

Hope this helps a little

the question is on the meds form and its about what i intend doing when i am in australia, daughters was easy as i put student, but i have no idea what line of work i will get, so can't fill in 'intended occupation', i'll maybe just put manager that should cover a multitude of sins :D

Re: Spouse Visa Circle - join here!

Hi all!

I may be a relatively new poster here, but I've been reading this forum for quite some time now.

I am from the United States and I met my (now) wife online in 1999. Since then, we have exchanged countless emails, phonecalls, packages, and instant messaging conversations. She came to visit me here in the States for the first time in 2003, and I went to visit her in Australia in 2006. This past March we were married here in the States! Sadly she had to go back home while I stayed behind. :(

We knew that we would be together eventually, so I started gathering evidence our relationship a few months prior to our marriage.

I just mailed off my spouse visa application to the embassy in Washington DC via next day air. I hope I get an acknowledgement soon!

As evidence I have included numerous pictures of us together at famous landmarks (Uluru, Sydney Opera House, Disneyland, Las Vegas, Grand Canyon, etc), cards sent to us by friends/family for our wedding and reception, screenshots of my email inbox dating from when we first met to the present, the two Aussie stat decs plus four more notarized declaration from friends in the USA, telephone bills indicating how often we called and SMSed each oher, copy of joint bank account statements, and utility bills showing when we briefly lived together.

Now all I have to do is cross my fingers!

Its mainly to see if you are likely to be working in nursing-type occupations, as they may require extra tests.

They don't test for stuff like that. The blood test is for HIV.

thanks for that, for the occupation one i'll put housing manager or similar.
unfortunately daughter has picked today to be a complete horror, and decided she wasn't going for the meds as i treat her like a child, the fact she came in drunk last night and was sick everywhere didn't help the mood
and oh has had a relapse on some mental health issues so there has been a lot of tears and tantrums on all sides. oh has persuaded her to go and i am keeping my mouth shut (for today  )

keep your fingers crossed

welcome qphreak - hope all goes well for you !
