Mine was only 2 k more than yours that is hardly anything, I photocopied al my OH wage slips, that bumped it up and I more of less did a little album of pics from to June 2006 to now, that bumped it up too, remember its not quantity its quality, my things just weighed a little more thats all. when you get a CO advise him your meds and police checks are on their way. Please dont worry, just remember a genuine application wil not get rejected , unless you are some sort of big style ex con with really bad diseases!! I only included what you did, proof of relationship, bday cards, xmas and engagment cards, holiday receipts and tickets, correspondence in both names etc etc. think positive honey, the worst is over now, we will just have to wait for the golden ticket! Oh keeps on saying , it would be great for my visa to arrive on March 5th as thats the date we met, that would be fab!!!
I reckon if your CO thinks it can be upgraded, he wil upgrade, but defacto couples are normally couples that have no intention to marry, I reckon the PMV is defo the right one, it may be more costly , but I reckon alot less hassle.
They told me in the post office to check my del online via tracking number after 1pm tomorrow, did they tel you that too ??

They didn't tell me to track it's delivery, just said it was guaranteed to get there by 1pm tomorrow.
Yer and last time I looked I wasn't a big style ex con and no diseases I don't think so should be ok!
I reckon you will get yours b4 march 5th though right? with your being front loaded I reckon it will be real quick ... although they may be there 6 months wading through all your paperwork!!! ha ha! only jokin.
Ok fingers crossed for both of us!
You should move to cairns! well gold coast isn't far anyway - i'll come and see you! where do you live now?

Yeh that would be great to meet up before we all go, but realistically we are off to Canada as soon as this visa is done and dusted and spending every spare weekend trying to see everyone before I head off for good! If I get some free time tho .... maybe we could meet half way? otherwise in Oz for sure.

Yeh, you'll be sorted one way or another pretty soon. That's the thing tho - you think this is the hardest bit and then you've got to go through it all again in 9 months time! I looked up the costs tho and the next stage is only something like $600 so not as bad. We are having a very cheap wedding!

Apparently the spouse visa in oz is not as hard as getting it here, they are not as strict , thats what I have heard. By the time the 9 months come around we will be experts!!
We should defo meet up in oz , for sure!!!! Dont worry about meeting up in UK, like you said you are busy and OH and I are ploughing all our money into savings. Defo meet up in oz though, if you are not too far away!!

Hi - it took about 8 weeks for the visa to come thru but we applied directly. Glad we did this as it would have been expensive using an agent.
Also, some peeps send in their passport with their application as IMMI have to put a stamp in it anyway. However, it's up to you. We didn't at first and then they requested more information from us and at that time, we put in my OH's passport cheekily with the other bits of info. It worked and we got the passport back that week!
Good luck with your application and good luck to all those who have either sent in their apps or about to!! Fingers crossed!

Do you think they'll email us today?
I was dreaming about it all night!
I'm sure yours will get there by 1pm at the latest, if not before.
Am trying not to think about it today. I think I'm going slowly mad wondering about the possibilities!

I too sent our docs off yesterday in a big silver bag. Just checked online and it seems to have been delivered ok.
My GF had her medicals done yesterday and they where very easy.
Prior to organising the tests, I rang around many places in London, to find the best price and they all seem to be around the same. Most places ask if you have a tattoo. I reluctantly said yes (its the tiniest of ones on her lower back that no one would ever see), as i did not know what the medical involved and the Dr. might require to see my GFs back at the time of the medical. As she has a tattoo, 2 extra tests are required at the cost of 60GBP. A hep B & C test.
When we met the Dr, he again asked us if she had a tattoo. We said yes and he wrote out a Blood request form and asked for the standard HIV, and HEP B & C to be done, which we where to take to the blood lab around the corner after we were finished with the Dr. We where in the Dr.s office for no more than 12 mins. My GF kept her jumper on and he never asked to see it. He would never have known had we not mentioned it.
So i guess this is just a little note to people if they want to save themselves some money and they have an inconspicuous tattoo, don't mention it.

I checked mine and it said it had been delivered this morning before the guarantee time, but it didn't have details of who signed for it etc.
