Spiders!
#17
What did your neighbours across the road have to say about that?
It was as much as I could do to kill the spider.
Being nice and gentlemanly to it while it was perched there just above my head would really have been asking too much
...I'm not terrified of spiders but they do give me the heebie jeebies. A bit.

Anyway to catch them do this:-
1. Get a large kitchen sieve. You can tape a longer handle on if need be. (I don't, I use it as is).
2. Get a piece of card - a side of a large cereal box will do.
3. A broom.
Always keep these handy.
Work the spider to a lower level using the broom. When it is within reach place the sieve over it with a dash of speed. Once trapped, slide the card under the sieve and you have the spider. Carefully lift the card and sieve with spider together and choose a neighbour to let it go and visit.
Job done.

It's all bush for a long way so no harm done. I know they won't come back because only chickens can cross a road.

Out of all the pics that I've seen on the internet it looked the closest to a huntsman. The body was a lot fatter though.

Now that looks nasty!
