We're reaching about 20 C here in Northern Ireland and everyone in work is complaining that it's too hot, I cant believe you are all moaning about being cold and it's like 23C

Bring it on, is all i can say

Bring clothes for a cold spring day... So you'll need light trousers, t-shirts, jeans, and a fleece to go over the top. An umbrella might be useful, although Aussie winters are generally dry... but it has been quite wet so far.
You shouldn't need a coat, unless it's a waterproof type one.

Sydney, yes, you might need the fleece for the evening. The temperature drop can be about 15 degrees within about half an hour, so this is why you feel the cold... not so much that it IS cold, just that you feel it when the sun falls that fast.

Brisbane will probably be balmy in the evenings and you'll probably find that as you're un-acclimatised, you'll think it's really quite warm.

Spring clothing with a warmer fleece to cover is all. If you find you need something warmer, you can always pop into a shop and buy a winter hat and scarf set. Cheap with the pound to Aus dollar conversion.
