No..house slippers are like knitted socks and are washable...Thats why I have 2 pairs.

I got some of them, i call them Hug slippers. Like the Hug boots. Very warm and cosy.

the only reason I don't wear slippers is because they end up stinking! I wear flippys in the house.

I've just come back from Big W with 2 pairs of cosy fleecy socks and a pair of hug slippers! They were also flogging hot water bottles but with those silly granny style cableknit covers! I miss my cute winnie the pooh hottie now!
