I don't think an Englishman wanting Scotland to become independent can be classed as Scottish hating can it?

Or maybe the Scots just want to feel important and for the English to beg and plead for them to stay in the Union?

If Scots think there is going to be mass panic and sadness from South of the border at Scotland going it's own way then they are mistaken.

As someone else on this thread has mentioned, the English have been blamed for Scotland's woes for so long now that I think many in England are just over it all.

All the "traders" are based in London.

Try again.

Far, far more English people stood to lose from The RBS Group going bust than Scottish.

"Try again" Try again about what? I asked a question. Nothing more.

If the Scots gain independence then they won't have a tartan pot to piss in before long. If the RBS had gone under it would have hit Scotland a whole lot harder than England, regardless of how many people work in each country.

interesting trivia:

Scotland has the highest proportion of redheads in the world. Around 13 per cent of the population has red hair, with 40 per cent carrying the recessive gene.

Hence why they feel bullied

Yeah, there's been an irritating whine coming out of Scotland for years... and it wasn't just those octopus stranglers making it. :D

Well no one knows do they, and no one knows what will happen if Independence is granted. However, there are plenty of countries in Northern Europe with similar populations who seem to manage just fine. In fact in the 2011 human development index, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Slovenia, Belgium and Austria all came above the UK. No reason scotland couldn't.

After all we did invent just about everything important in the world.

It seems that most of the prominent 'Proud Scots' can't stand living there so does it really matter who rules the place?
