In my area (west coast) there is one primary school (that I know of, could be more) that teaches gaelic, the school was always full, limited places. It was just a normal state school, but everyone wanted the kids to go to that one specifically because of the gaelic teachings.
In fact, my cousin's little girl attended the school, think she might even still be there.
Here is a link (can't find a website).

There are 2153 primary schools in Scotland... when you try to go to the page that covers Gaelic in Scottish schools, to see how many teach it, guess what you get??

Yeah OK then. There's obviously a need for a BBC site in Gaelic 'cos, despite all the figures available to the contrary, there must be a massive demand for it.

It's easy to claim "Most Scottish people I know would have jumped at the chance to learn Gaelic" but the fact is that over 98% of them haven't.
Have you?

I would jump at the chance of learning Mandarin, but in reality I can't be arsed to do it..... just like the Scots and Gaelic.

I haven't bothered to learn Spanish or Italian either, or brain surgery coming to think on it, but would love to. It's got nothing to do with not being arsed to bother, rather a time thing as we get older.

We're all the same. We all say there's loads we "really want to do" but never get round to. "Too busy" is the excuse we use to justify not really being that bothered.

Grow a pair u retarded cheese pilot & offer a more sensible
riposte......seriously, some comrades have been KIA for trying to keep this Union together, BTW Father Scottish, Mother English so yes on 'Hadrian's Wall' .
But do you know what? (not being a Walt) when u have been to a young soldier's funeral with the flag of the Union wrapped around the coffin you tend to try and realise that its worth preserving and fighting for....
