I read The Martian (god awful book) and so I think I've got it down on how to survive on Mars. But why not go somewhere warmer like Venus? The Canary Islands of the solar system. No Corrie though.

Hell no, screw that. :) But if they do find a planet with lots of beautiful islands and turquoise waters (and nothing in those waters that bites or stings) then I'm all for it.
I haven't read the book, but the film was very, very good imo. Especially after something like Interstellar which I struggled with for two days to get through the darn thing, and then found the script to be just plain silly... I've spent the weekend binge watching the first five episodes of season one of The Expanse on Netflix. Really good Sci-Fi, with perhaps a little more emphasis on the Sci bit. Based on books apparently, so cue the GoT style "I preferred the books" comments, but beyond that well worth a watch. S |

I like the series derived from "Planet of the Apes". A new one out and the goodies are STILL the monkeys with the humans as the bad guys !

Tell you what. We can send the liberals, centralists and democrats to 'red' Mars, and the far right, tea baggers, coalition and GOP to the most appropriate place for them, Venus.
How's that sound?
