Romance. I don't think it's what people do for each other, it's just an entire art-form and life, and married life would be listless without it. Our whole life has been a bit of an adventure what with starting it here, and I look back on my life which has been the same. An adolescent aim was to parachute into my wedding but I didn't do it in the end - you can't have it all - although I did once parachute into Holland with a box of chocs for a girlfriend - bit of a laugh....Have to admit, I am attracted to women who see the beauty in themselves and others things. I think it's a shame when people shun it and see it as some sort of weakness. You can be romantic in thought and deed but there is a time and place to be hard... that is all... |

I agree, sometimes is as simple as just not taking eachother for granted .
Just a thought: Must the onus be on the men to initiate this romancing thing? :) & to Ems, we all have sh*t that we need to deal with, wether in a new relationship or old, it is all give & take. He was there for you this time & maybe even the next but at some point, you will return the favour, that is a relationship! Lots of luck to you both xx |

The onus is on the men for everything else so why not this? And they talk about sexual equality! :sneaky:

Absolutely not! & the longer you are together, the more important it is imo! It doesn't have to be much, an unexpected text message eg can be very sexy!

Now my theory is that being 'romantic' is just knowing what your partner likes and providing/doing that thing. It's that simple.
Am I right or is it more than that? (or less) :) |

hmm icarus has some interesting ideas on the concept of romance.
I think it is simply about doing stuff for your partner that makes them feel special, and wanted. |
