Like the scum who here who laid the cop out with a flying kick all on video only to get away with it. The cop if I remember correctly is permanently affected. Not referring to your post but this absurd belief that this is a UK thing is ridiculous.
My sister was a copper, and she was only allowed to defend herself using standard techniques- couldn't apply any of her Tai Kwan Do training, so she got assaulted and couldn't drop the little s**t. Caused a brain injury and she retired from the force with PTSS.
Her job was a thankless one where she was spat at, sworn at and punched/kicked, and the aggressors got away with it with a caution or at worst an asbo, and were on the streets the next day to continue in their thuggish ways.
This was in a rural town. The pressure that the police are under is enormous, as is the paperwork they then have to do. Do you wonder why they tend to react with riot shields? They know that rent-a -mob are out to get them.

It was the juxtaposition I found amusing. Your statement about posters skewing things to show the UK in a bad light was followed up by Rajj saying that we need more moderate mods. Just thought it was funny given Polly was actively moding the thread at the time.
It's okay, I wasn't saying anything bad about the UK

Racist bastards the lot of them. Fancy having the temerity to shoot back when one of their own has just been shot.

The bullet which lodged in a police officer’s radio in the gunfight which led to Mark Duggan being shot dead was police issue ammunition, it was reported last night.
The revelation will fuel the fury in Tottenham about the killing of the father of four by armed officers.
The bullet which was found lodged in the radio of one of the officers at the scene is still undergoing forensic tests. It was initially suggested by the Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC) that Met officers returned fire after someone in the minicab opened fire.
But sources have said the first ballistics examinations suggested it was police issue.
These are very distinct as the Metropolitan Police uses hollowed-out bullets designed not to pass through an object.
The news has undermined suggestions that there was an exchange of fire between Mr Duggan and the police before he died.
Yesterday the IPCC was forced to deny reports that Mr Duggan was ‘assassinated’ as rumours spread like wildfire on the internet that he was unarmed, having put his gun down on the ground when he was shot.

I love this quote in the article
‘My brother’s not that sort of person,’ he said. ‘He’s not stupid to shoot at the police, that’s ridiculous.’
Mr Hall said he did not condone the rioting. ‘I know people are frustrated, they’re angry out there at the moment, but I would say please try and hold it down. Please don’t make this about my brother’s life, he was a good man.'
He was a good man....with a gun. If you scum in a gang and you carry a gun them good riddance to you, as they say 'if you live by the sword'.

If you live by the sword don't challenge a man with a pen?

I imagine if this had happened in South Africa a year before the World Cup ... I'm guessing the we'd all be jumping up and down about how it was an inappropriate place to hold a major sporting event.
