Red wine
#16
I'm working today and so far I've poured about 100 bottles of red wine down the sink
Only doing what I'm told to do
The smell is YUK and it has stained the sink that I bleached earlier

Lynn, are you sure they told you to pour them down the sink? and not into wine glasses? Do you still have a job ?!!
Ok, the bottle of "mount pleasant original vineyard Rosehill shiraz 2007" is now open. This one's a really dark purple colour. But only 13.5%. If I was a wine buff, I would probably use words such as "blackberry", "peppery" to describe it.
In summary this one's a bit of a disappointment for the price. It's a decent wine but nothing special.

Is it any good though? I've had a few cleanskins but only 1 or 2 that were ok.
A friend once gave me a glass of red from a crate that he'd bought on graysonline for $40, a cancelled export to USA he told me. One of the best red wines I've ever tasted, can't remember what it was called though.

My current favourite wine is d'Arenberg Peppermint Paddoc fortunately I can get it for £12 per bottle which is way less than the cheapest I found in Australia which was around $22 per bottle.

Have yet to assess a bottle of Jumping Jack 2009 Shiraz from the Barossa. ($20.00) Bought this in Melbourne Street, North Adelaide at Melbourne Street Fine Wine Cellar.
If anyone wants to spend 7 hours going through the choices, this would be the one to visit. IMHO.

Oi moderators.... Could you please close this thread...
I fancy a glass of wine... But am still on my self imposed wagon...
And I'm finding it REALLY offensive to hear about all these yummy reds...
I pwrsonally think they are Trolling to try and get a reaction out of me...
I have abottle of Penfolds summit or other in my cupboard, must be a good one as it was given to me as a thank you from one of our surgeons at work..
Its calling my name
Eddie..... Eddie... Eddie.... Come drink me, come have a sniff, roll me round the glass, take a sip...
ARRRRRRRRRRRRGH

Just arrived back from 1st choice liquor. We bought a bottle of "mount pleasant original vineyard Rosehill shiraz 2007" - pretty expensive by my standards at $27. (this one is currently unopened, will report back in a day or so with a review)
Also grabbed a bottle of "Wyndham estate bin 555 shiraz 2008" whilst waiting to pay. $9 for this one, and I'm on my second glass. If I was a wine critic I would probably give it the following review:
Very drinkable. Will get you p*ssed after a bottle.
Anyone else drinking tonight?

I can, without doubt, say they all tasted like varying degrees of hangover but did, in fact, get us quite sloshed.
I will be picking up our usual 5 litre cask of cheap white today, it will taste better, have the same effect but will be much easier on the bank balance.
If I pick the wrong place I may even have to pay $19 for it.
