I used to love the Wispa (and I was in B'ham when they launched it). Somewhere along the line I switched allegiance to Snickers. I did also like Yorkie until they got bought by Nestle.

I don't mind Aussie or Brit chocolate; the taste difference is not that great to me (although I'm not keen on the Aussie prices).

Cherry Ripe is rank. It tastes like those ones you used to get in Quality Street that were always left till the end. I can't remember the name but there is a Peanut/Chocolate bar (squarish block with a gold coloured wrapper) here which is really nice - better than Yorkie. (That's another one for MoneyPenny to bring back to the UK - although I doubt she's read this far ).

I can't remember the name but there is a smaller chocolate manufacturer here who does a really nice box set (but it is expensive).

Apparently Green and Black is owned by Cadbury. Not sure if this is just in Aus or worldwide.

I did read it all, honest, most of it went over my head but not to worry. OK consensus is Cherry Ripe to UK and Galaxy and Wispa back home. Thanks

You can buy Green and Black here and it tastes just the same.

I'd bring back Galaxy and Cadbury's especially ripples and flakes. Yummm. There is something like Cherry Ripe in the UK but I think it's made by a little Scottish company. I think it's called Raspberry Ruffle. (Both rank in my opinion.)

Remember a tub of Bisto gravy granules for me.

Bring me a wispa and you'll be my mate for ever, I've got a serious craving now. I can get UK chocolate Aeros in Pick n Pay, and I've just bought a mountain of Raisin Yorkies and Frys Choc Cream at Chermside, but I'd kill for a Wispa......!!!!

Soemthing else you might want to take over is Violet Crumble, you can't get that in the UK either

Violet crumble is some kind of Aussie chocolate bar - don't ask me any more than that, I just know you can get them here but not over there, like cherry ripe. Everyone told me cherry ripes were the best chocolate ever so I tried one and it was disgusting, bit like a lamington, yeuch! Scared to try violet crumble in case thats stuffed with coconut too!!!

Bring back some Cadbury's Twirl bars. They are the very best chocolate hit for milk choc people. Here they're just sweet and sickly. How about bringing back some walnut whips or chocolate gingers too. Come to think of it, anything by Thorntons would be nice.

Is that a request? I think I remember walnut whips - full of white crap stuff that looks like the glop in creme eggs? Never heard of chocolate gingers.

OK so on the list should be:

Galaxy
Wispa
Violet Crumble
Twirl
Walnut Whip
Chocolate Gingers
Munchies

I've honestly got better things to spend my money on although I can't think what, nothing in the UK I haven't matched here yet but I think I'll need to rejoin the gym when I get back, there are that many meals out planned for various friendship groups, oh and the 'family' meal I'm going to come back looking like a blimp

Violet Crumble is equivalent of Crunchie but not half as nice!

What's a Black and Green?? Must be after my time, I've been here nearly 11 years!
