Unbelievable. At least they nabbed him. It just puts others' lives at risk....

It's surreal at times just how daft some people can be. What about the three at the end trying to float to Brisbane on pool inflatables... just how stupid can you get?!

That is so bloody stupid. Reports coming out of Ipswich now of a couple of looters. Wish people could just concentrate on keeping themselves and their families safe instead of adding to the emergency services already heavy burden.

 Mental init, I'd to email the girl at the BBC who first contacted me and ask for my number to be taken off their records as I've had up to 40 calls since yesterday from so many BBC people, got quite annoying after a while in all honesty!!!

Anyone got a more usabel version of the flood maps that were released overnight? It's impossible to zoom in on the 5MB PDFs.

Thanks, getting worried calls at all hours from Ireland for updates. Apparently telling them that we're about 30 metres above the danger zone is not enough. Will have to post the maps up on Facebook. It's understandable but it's tough to be polite when the phone rings at 4am.

We have been here 8 years, and still find it somewhat amusing that our rellies in Ireland and the USA seem to have no clue regarding Aussie geography, Weather or Timezones (when calling). At least you are in the affected area. My bloomin mum called at 5am this morning wanting to know if we were ok, and we're in bloody MELBOURNE !!

memo to self : send mum an atlas for Christmas.....
