I'd like to know where they are going to find 3,000 people or thereabouts with Motorbike licenses on 2 days notice willing to deliver mail.

This action doesn't affect night shift as the stop work meeting in Victoria is at 1pm on Wednesday.

We cleared all the small mail today.... letters... at the expense of the Large Letters/packages which were more or less left untouched. We are going in 2 hours early tonight to tackle yesterdays large letters preshift, which will have been prepared for us to sort... IE: 30 pct of the process already covered by Mangers and others mostly from Head offfice in the City.

We could possibly actually clear the whole lot tomorrow. There has been a lot of hours put in over the weekend.

So If your in the Northern Suburbs of Melbourne most of the mail should be cleared by tomorrow... Trouble is there is more action on Wednesday for Vic.

Post Xmas is going to be interesting !

What a stressful Xmas lead up. Current situation is all the mail has been sorted, but..... I doubt if the posties will be able to deliver it all today. Especially in Melbourne where there was a mass meeting yesterday at 11am.

Could be a 1 day national strike during next week, which isn't the best as we only go back for 2 days. So we are off for 4 days now supposedly on for 2 days, then off for 4 days for the New years break..

The Union still hasnt decided, I think there is finally some dialogue happening.
