Please Help - Relationship problems after moving to Australia
#31
I would head off to Relationships Australia pretty quick because you absolutely do not have to put up with abusive language or anything like that - in fact, if you put up with it, the chances are it will get worse. It may be language today but it may be a fist tomorrow and you dont want to be on the other end of that. RA are the experts and are definitely good for a start - you dont have to go as a couple initially although obviously that is what you will be aiming for.
all the best

Hi Fluffball, How awful for you. Your boyfriend really needs someone to point out to him what he's doing. He's obviously not seeing things clearly and it's breaking down your health and confidence.
I hesitate to mention my own experiences because it was hugely traumatic and we were not able to resolve things. We came out to Sydney in 2001 with our two children, and things went wrong from the start. My husband of 14 years ended up leaving us for someone else within three months of us arriving. Eventually I was forced to take the children home again. Looking back on it now though, I think it would have happened sooner or later anyway. The breakup I mean, not going back as we all loved it there.
There is a happy ending though, because I am now with the most lovely man, and living back out here in Queensland.
Chin up! You are not alone and all will be well eventually! X
