Visa-go have been fantastic even after all the pestering they have had from us.When we had our meds the doctor told us that we were both fit and well so i just dont know what the problem could be.hubby is a electrician and we was hoping to be in perth at the end of july,we have had offers on house but we dont want to commit till we get the ok ,it is just so frustrating when you see that sept/oct applications are being processed now it must have been them passport photo's that have scared them ha ha.What medical center did you use?

hi Claire
yes we've got one 15 year old Tom, who really jumps between being desperate to get there, and absolutely refusing to go. for the last few weeks hes been ok, got a lot on for him tho this year with exams and the move. i really liked secret harbout but my hubby said it was too much like an estate with no soul and you would have to drive to get everywhere. we only saw the car park and the beach tho..(nice surfing!) i didnt see any shops or centre for the community.:)

Hi Nige and Olly

We got our CO allocated today!!!

We sent our visa application in Dec and there was months of preaparation before that.we probably first decided on going and got our first look at the app form in April 06 and then had to be validated by our respective professions n Oz for skills assessment ,including the nursing council losing all my documents once!
after that the ball ache is getting all the info required together and signed by a magistrate which takes some time. after dec and the visa went it it was quiet for a while ... and now we're at the stage of gettting medicals and putting house on market.
cant believe how time is flying
dont know know if that is similar to most people but that how its been for me.

my advice would be to try not to put times on things too much to avoid unnecessary stress, oh and do lots of photocopies of everything cos you may have to duplicate stuff if you have to get validated for skills assessment.

You ever been to Perth?
Julie:)

How are we all today? Have a good weekend guys and hope to see some of you soon at a mini meet.
I am around for most of the evening now as I am researching Queensland as it may (only) may be on the cards if Perth goes awry!
See you all soon?
Take care, good weekend to you all!!!

can any of you perthites reccommend a trustworthy car hire company please?

When we were in Perth on our visa validation trip we hired a car from these people: http://www.selfdrive.com.au/

We were very happy with them and will use them again when we move later in the year.
