The 'PERTHIES' Thread......As requested!
Right as we all talked about it here it is!
AS there seem to be many of us migrating to Perth :D This is a place to chill, gossip or moan like hell about all things Perth/visa/spouse or child related, (edited for Ast). Progress reports, mini meet notices etc. Hopefully we can build up some networks here to start us all off in Oz:p Would be nice to keep in touch for those going to the same areas. So here goes nothing.....shame it can't be pinned by the mods so it doesnt slip off the message boards...so keep posting folks?? :) |

Hi all just wanted to say from Perth.:D
We have been here since October 2005 and are very happy and settled here. We live in the burb of Carramar, which is about 30km from Perth CBD. My Daughter goes to the local Primary school with is very good. My hubby works in the city and commutes on the train, which takes about 1 hour door to door. And I have the luxury of not having to work so I can spend time meeting friends for coffee and lunch!! Also we meet up once a week at the Quay Café in Hillarys at 12pm for new and old expats to come along, it’s good place to meet new friends and get plenty of information about life here in Perth. You are all welcome to check us out when you arrive.:thumbup: If anyone needs help or info please feel free to ask and I will try to help. Sam |

Good morning 'PERTHIES', We are heading to perth and are currently waiting for a CO (October applicants, i run a spreadsheet) not sure if i can build a house or owt tho as i am a cook and currently driving trains here in Lincoln. I have just booked our meds at Nottingham which we are frontloading so please lots of fingers crossed for a CO very soon as my poor little head cant take much more:confused:

Morning all . How are you all enjoying the holls. I think its great as i'm usually at school surrounded by kids.:eek: I just dont know what to do first, Will it be clear out the loft ?or paint the kichen ?:confused: Ive alteady sorted through 2 boxes of paperwork today in this eternal clutter clear out i find myself in.
