Nor does my friend who used to be one of his family's neighbours. She says they are so privileged that they will somehow nobble the judge/jury.

SA does not have the jury system but people who should get harsh sentences often don't, and others who shouldn't, do.

So is it just the judge? Even easier to nobble.
