Witness Protection Services manage it.

Yes, but they do it for people who actually exist, not for people who have never existed. Additionally, they do not do it for international terrorists. Can anyone give me an example of someone in a witness protection program whose backstory is as comprehensive and well attested as Bin Laden's personal life?

Bear in mind that this requires comprehensive independent confirmation of every detail by international journalists all over the world, personal participation in public life from a young age, and a track record for global terrorism.

No he wasn't

I stand corrected. He had close ties with the Saudi royal family.

Whether Bin Laden was killed a couple of days ago or how ever many years ago. I bet you we will never see him again, no interviews, no new video tapes, no nothing.

There's not a chance the US Government would announce that he was dead only for him to pop up again in the future.

This isn't Dallas, it wasn't all a dream. He's either dead or the US have him incarcerated never to be seen again.

I'm not suggesting he was in a witness protection programme. I'm simply pointing out that it's obviously not hard for someone to manufacture evidence to 'invent a person with a history' out of nothing.

We haven't seen anything from him in years as it is.

What do you mean by "without any evidence"? Are you saying that the video of the bloodsoaked Bin Laden compound is a fake? The US military operation didn't happen? There were no helicopters?

Between 1996-1999 Bin Laden was interviewed by Robert Fisk, Peter Arnett, John Weiner, and Rahimullah Yusufzai.

Fisk has written about Bin Laden's death in the Independent (article here). I don't know if any of the others have commented.

And if the Police can do it then imagine what the intelligence agencies can do with the resources at their disposal.

That's true, but not to this extent. Bin Laden's life was too well documented over a long period of time, by countless independent sources.

Righto. Save me a seat when the aliens arrive. If I don't get there in time, give Elvis my regards.

Al Jazeera had a good interview with Fisk yesterday just before Obama made the announcement.

No need to be a conspiracy theorist to smell the stench here.

So like I said he may have been killed years ago and they've just been waiting for an opportune time to roll out the news.

But either way the guy isn't going to be showing his face ever again.

I don't care about Muslim tradition, and certainly not for a someone who massacred innocent 1000's.

So why were they so quick to dump his body at sea. It all sounds very fishy to me (no pun intended). And they managed a DNA test within hours, when even the FBI take weeks?

Start the conspiracries theories now

Re: Osama Bin Laden, Dead

Random Pakistani dude reported the entire raid live on Twitter without realising it:

In the early hours of Monday, Sohaib Athar reported on Twitter that a loud bang had rattled his windows in the Pakistani town of Abbottabad, adding that he hoped it wasn't "the start of something nasty.

A few hours later Athar posted another tweet: "Uh oh, now I'm the guy who liveblogged the Osama raid without knowing it."

...

Seven hours after Athar's first tweet, President Barack Obama announced bin Laden's death in an operation by U.S. forces where one helicopter was lost.
