:D

lol - well... sold my house, car, quit my job, broke up with my girlfriend and moved to the land down under. Came across initially on a working hol visa (as it was the easiest way) then moved to a 457, and have just applied for a 175.

Loving life over here!

nice one nick. where are you again? Did you hostel it to start, or straight to a flat, or what?

wishing i hadn't used my working hol visa already.. well i say "used".. i only stayed 6 months, didn't do any work (ahem that the govt knows about..), and didn't travel enough for my liking (only seen 2 states).

everything looking good for you moonstar, good luck with it mate! Sounds like you have it all sewn up!

everyone else seems in good spirits! that's what we like!

Hi Pacey,

It's been pretty quiet tonight (or this morning for your guys).

To be fair, two states in Oz is still seeing quite a lot (considering how big they are). I still can't get used to the fact that a 1 hour flight barely gets you out of the state compared with Europe and you can be in 4-5 different countries in the same time.

Stayed in a hostel for the first week or so while I viewed flat shares. There are lots of websites but the most popular (and useful) ones that I found were....
www.flatmates.com.au (from memory, this one is completely free)
http://au.easyroommate.com

Hope things are well in the UK and you're not working too hard!

Cheers,

Nick

 I've got my sister coming over to check mine tonight!!! You are cracking on with it then??!! I went to a chiropractor for the first time today - I screamed and nearly threw up . Figured I need to get some long standing issues sorted out - and oh boy, did he sort them out - the crunching noise in my head was awful:(

Got some good tips re. what other info CO's might request today - 12 months worth of wage slips, last P60 etc and how to fill out/label up the meds forms -see Clara W's posts today on the 138 thread - might help you??
