Sorry in advance for this moan. Firstly, my visa is STILL being held up because of a dispute between my labour hire firm and the department of immigration which is showing no signs of being solved, and having my life on hold is really starting to piss me off. And to make things worse, I think I may be getting some shitty news tomorrow that may put the kybosh on the whole thing anyway. I'm hoping by writing my negativity down I can prompt some good news instead (pessimist never being disappointed etc). Sorry for putting a downer on he thread but having one of those weeks!

Just got off the phone to my employer in Sydney. Still no progress with this labour agreememtn although its all looking positive (they wouldnt say otherwise though?) but there's talk of May at the latest now! I was supposed to start beginning of Jan!

I've got 2nd interviews tonight for my job in melbourne, and again on thursday with a job in sydney! phew this is actually real! My only concern thats racking my brain at the minute is the fact that i really love my job here in the uk! I've tried to see what options there are in australia with the company and they do have 1/2 vacancy's but i'd have to go on a whv, apply when there and interview when there and then get them to sponsor me once there... its playing on my mind a little!??????? |
