i'm going out to brisbane in 3 months on my own and although i'm a bit worried about being on my own, i realised that you can be lonely in the uk too.......so better to be lonely in the sun and outdoors doing cool stuff than in the miserable winter and indoors watching reaity tv!......although i will miss dancing on ice! ha! :-)

good for you, i'm hopefully gonna be in sydney but melbourne and brisbane have become options recently, but i think i'll be happy anywhere, (sydney) first though as this is where some friends are already!

i'm due to go to brisbane but got a possibility of a job in melbourne too so a bit confused. will see what happens. :)

Anyhow, im in the same boat, had an interview for melbourne last week that went really well, and the city is meant to be awesome at the moment, as is brisbane and sydney!!!

Melbourne seems to have both pretty close although the city is quite spread out i hear and Sydney seems to have pretty much evertything but more expensive to live. sure whichever you choose will be fine. i'm still deciding..one day its bris..next day is mel. there's worse decisions to make though hey!
