Most schools run after school care, which includes the school holidays. I don't know how much it costs though.
There's also usually clubs that run during school holidays too, so you could look into them as well.
Also, make a few friends at his school, and I'll bet one of them will help you out.

Before school 6.30am - 9.00am $9
After school 2.45pm - 6pm $14
Vacation care 7.00am - 6.00pm $34

Tomorrow Im busy from 6-9am and then Ive got to take the cat to the vet for his boosters.
So all in all, a very sensible evening for me.
