Mums in Sydney...

Well, sort of- I used $100 of my own gift vouchers to pay for the shopping, then used OH's card to pay for the $89 dress. He'll probably comment.
I went mad and bought a cocktail style, peacock pattern sleeveless skater dress, which is way too short and too young for me, but I couldn't resist the gorgeous fabric, and I'm going to have it altered into a shift dress, which will more suit a lady in her 50's.

I was given wine, a bag of Cherry Ripe bites and a couple of bags of crisps (I can't have crisps in the house the rest of the time, I have no concept of moderation when it comes to Smiths Smoky Bacon crisps)
I also had three willing houseslaves for the day, who cooked breakfast, lunch and dinner, and who filled both my teacup and my wineglass on demand.
It really SHOULD be Mother's Day every Sunday

Funnily enough OH didn't mind the "expense" of the dress - I got a "wow" from him when I modelled it, and 3 wows from DD who said I looked 30 (not 52!
) and that I shouldn't have the skater skirt bottom taken in to make it a more mature shift dress. She took piccies - I actually have a waist in the dress!!
